ADI Comments on California Civil Rights Council Rulemaking on Automated Decision-Making Systems

The Alliance for Digital Innovation submitted comments to the California Civil Rights Council in response to its rulemaking on automated decision-making systems. The Alliance encouraged the Council to exclude public bodies from the rulemaking and to eliminate the burdensome data retention requirements for public sector uses of automated-decision system data, which violate privacy and cybersecurity best practices. We also joined other organizations representing employers, human resources professionals, and technology companies to submit joint comments on the rulemaking.
