ADI Comments on the Air Force’s Software as a Service Procurement and Usage Requirements Memorandum

The Alliance for Digital Innovation submitted comments on the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Software as a Service (SaaS) Procurement and Usage Requirements Memorandum. We commend the DAF’s focus on improving cost control, data governance, and security practices for cloud-based platforms. We particularly appreciate the policy’s recognition of subscription-based pricing models. These flexibilities align well with commercial best practices and can deliver significant cost savings and operational insights. Our comments also offer suggestions for DAF to optimize the policy to achieve its security, cost management, and mission objectives.
