The Alliance for Digital Innovation (ADI) applauds the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on the recent publication of their draft memorandum on Federal agency internet protocol version 6 (IPv6) transition. Enabling agencies to more quickly and effectively move to the IPv6 space will spur greater innovation in the government and provide yet another strong vector for the government’s faster adoption of commercial technology. ADI looks forward to providing comments and speaking to OMB leadership about this important initiative to ensure the government makes maximum use of commercial best practices in IPv6 transitions and ensures that this effort appropriately balances security and innovation as the government continues to modernize its networks.
