The Pentagon’s proposed FY 2020 budget calls for $927 million in funding for Artificial Intelligence (AI) as well as machine learning, including $208 million earmarked for the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC). The funding, much of which would go to basic AI research, would allow DoD and the IC to leverage this emerging capability most effectively.
